The selection includes the earliest examples of printing in Dutch, famous masterpieces of medieval Dutch poetry and drama, such as Elckerlyk, Karel ende Elegast, Reynaert, and many examples of the flowering of religious prose inspired by the Modern Devotion and Rhineland spirituality.
